Open Enrollment Graduate Diploma in Business Administration
SFU's Graduate Diploma in Business Administration consists of 24 credits of graduate coursework that is typically delivered online. A generic open enrollment version of the GDBA program consists of 12 credits of core courses:
BUS 550 Financial Accounting (2 credits)
BUS 551 Managerial Accounting (2 credits)
BUS 552 Managerial Economics (4 credits)
BUS 557 Human Resource Management/Organizational Behaviour (4 credits)
Plus 12 credits of additional business courses numbered 500 or above:
BUS 553 Quantitative Business Methods (2 credits
BUS 554 Management Information Systems (2 credits)
BUS 555 Managerial Finance (4 credits)
BUS 556 Marketing Management (4 credits)
TOTAL: 24 Credits
Regular GDBA courses are all available online.
Graduate Business Courses for Mining
Graduate Business Courses for Mining are offered in partnership with EduMine on an open enrollment basis and may be combined with courses from a Customized Corporate GDBA (see below) or the Open Enrollment GDBA program to complete the graduate diploma requirements. Students who complete both the EduMine and the SFU Classroom component will receive credit toward the GDBA. Two courses are currently available and additional courses are under development:
BUS 559 Business, Community and Government (4 credits) (Elective in GDBA)
Customized Corporate Graduate Diploma in Business Administration
GDBA courses customized for corporate clients may be offered in online, classroom or mixed-mode (online plus classroom) versions. Students who have taken one or more courses as part of a corporate program may complete outstanding diploma requirements through the open enrollment GDBA program. Customized GDBA programs have been offered to a number of corporate clients including Teck Cominco, Alcan Primary Metal and Highland Valley Copper.
