EduMine has concluded an agreement for translation of courses into Spanish for the Latin American mining community. The translations will be performed by a mining, geomechanical and metallurgical group in Peru. The first course to be translated into Spanish will be
Geotechnical Data Collection for Excavation in Rock by Dr. Jim Mathis.
The group performing the translations will be headed by Engineer Jose Antonio Ardito, a mining / geomechanical engineer, currently working with Doe Run Peru's Cobriza Division, formerly Assistant Professor in rock mechanics at the Pontifical Catholic University in Lima.
This translation project plays a key role in EduMine's mission to make online continuing education available to the international mining and geoscience communities.
