Graham Baldwin has a B.Sc. Honours degree in Engineering Geology and Geotechnics from Portsmouth Polytechnic (now The University of Portsmouth), an M.Sc. degree in Engineering Rock Mechanics from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, University of London, and an M.B.A. degree from the University of British Columbia. He is a registered Chartered Engineer (United Kingdom), Chartered Geologist (United Kingdom), European Engineer (Europe), Professional Engineer (British Columbia) and a Member of both the Institution of Mining and Metallurgy and the Institution of Civil Engineers.
His technical career has included geological, geophysical and geotechnical aspects of mining exploration and development, civil engineering, irrigation, groundwater, environmental and energy supply projects worldwide, including a four-year residence in the Far East. His technical career brought him to Canada in 1980.
In 1990, he co-founded Robertson Info-Data Inc. with Dr. Andrew Robertson and developed InfoMine, the Mining Portal on the Internet. The company, of which he is President, currently employs a staff of over 50 professionals and support personnel and is involved in the provision of worldwide mining information and educational services via the Internet.
