EduMine provides a platform for recognition by the mining / geoscience communities.

EduMine is the professional development division of InfoMine which is the premier information portal on the Internet for the mining and geoscience communities. You and your course benefit from exposure to our large audience, and from our promotion in trade journals and attendance at trade shows.

EduMine manages the monitoring, accounting and record keeping.

We develop, maintain and manage the EduMine website and perform all monitoring, accounting and record keeping for enrollment/registration, certification, viewer statistics and distribution of royalties/payment of instructor fees. We issue professional development certificates and maintain learner and attendee records.

Get involved in the Certificate in Mining Studies program.

Many of EduMine's short courses, webcasts and online courses qualify for the Certificate in Mining Studies (CMS) program, which is partnered with several different universities around the world. Ask about how to get CMS students taking your courses for credit.

Courses must be relevant to a mining or geoscience audience.

The subject should be of interest to either a professional audience or a skilled trades audience in mining and the geosciences. The course should provide a practical, in-depth, effective treatment of the subject.

Courses must address identified needs of a target audience.

A course should be planned in response to identified needs of a target audience. Clear and concise written statements of intended learning outcomes should be available.

Course content must be appropriate to intended learning outcomes.

A course must be developed by qualified personnel. Course content and instructional methods must be appropriate for the intended learning outcomes.

EduMine is the premier provider of online continuing education and professional development resources for the mining and geoscience communities. An EduMine Enrollment provides access to over 183 online courses and over 1900 hours of professional development in mining-related disciplines.

Most courses qualify for formal professional development.

EduMine has adopted the IACET Guidelines and Criteria for qualification of courses for certification. This empowers EduMine to award CEUs (continuing education units) and PDHs (professional development hours) for successful completion of qualifying courses. Qualifying courses satisfy the professional development requirements of many of the US state professional boards and Canadian professional associations.

Up to 40% of course revenues are distributed as author royalties.

Join the growing list of authors who are benefiting from course royalties. Royalties are based on the relative popularity of courses, determined by monthly access statistics, and certification revenues. You will receive a quarterly royalty payment.

Courses benefit from peer-review, quality control and learner evaluation.

Courses receive the benefit of peer-review, quality control and learner evaluation, and our technical writers work with our authors to present their course effectively in our template.

EduMine provides authoring support for conversion of course material.

For authors with existing course material, EduMine provides authoring support for conversion of your course for Internet delivery in return for a negotiated share of the royalties.

The EduMine courseware template provides efficient online delivery and interaction.

The EduMine courseware template provides multi-level presentation of content, multiple-choice course reviews, interactive examples and tools, monitoring of learner performance, and simple, easy to use functionality for course navigation, figures, definitions, cross-referencing, author references and note-taking. We develop and maintain the courseware template and monitor new technology to ensure the best possible result for our viewers and learners.

EduMine hosts short courses in Canada and the United States to professionals from all over the world.

Participate in the success of the short course.

You are guaranteed to receive a flat fee for the course presentation, and you will receive extra compensation per individual registered up to the course maximum, typically set at 20 students. If you wish to negotiate the class limit, you may do so.

Teach in a well-equipped facility, with all your needs provided for.

EduMine will provide course facilities comprising a fully-equipped classroom, overhead projection, internet access, copies of your course notes, refreshments and snacks, including breakfasts and lunches for registered course delegates and instructors for each course venue. If you need something specific to help you in your presentation, let us know!

Benefit from EduMine's blended learning model.

EduMine will provide access to our library of online courses for all delegates before and after the course, to enable pre-course e-learning. This learning component provides participants with important background material which increases their understanding and appreciation of the classroom short course. A good understanding of this material, confirmed by completion of interactive reviews, enables participants to derive maximum benefit from the short courses. The blended learning format is also designed to minimize time spent away from the job.

Get feedback from delegates.

EduMine will forward you, the presenter, a summary of evaluations of attendees for the course, to enable you to continually improve and modify your material for future audiences.

EduMine hosts live webcasts in Spanish and English to professionals from all over the world. Delegates save on travel costs, and so do you!

Participate in the success of the webcast.

You will receive a variable fee for the course, dependent on the number of delegates that attend. Because a webcast is hosted online, we have the opportunity to invite many more delegates than can attend a classroom short course.

Teach from our webcast studio in Vancouver, or from your office.

EduMine will provide course facilities comprising a laptop, video camera and microphone, internet and webcast software access at our webcast studio in Vancouver, BC, Canada. We will distribute electronic pdf copies of your course notes to all attendees prior to each webcast. If you need something specific to help you in your presentation, let us know! If you live far from Vancouver, we can arrange to have you teach remotely, if we believe you have adequate facilities to do so.
