Course Summary
This short course in webcast format will demonstrate how the Qualified Person is able to meet the assay quality requirements of NI43-101 reporting. Topics to be discussed include: duplicate data collection, use of standards and blanks, simple statistics in the evaluation of standards, recognition of outliers, binary graphs as an interpretive aid to evaluating duplicate data, and displaying and analyzing data.
This course qualifies as formal Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activity ... and as credit towards a Certificate in Mining Studies (CMS) from University of British Columbia (UBC) and University of Arizona.
About the Author
Alastair J. Sinclair obtained his B.A.Sc. and M.A.Sc. degrees in geological engineering from the University of Toronto (1957 and 1958) and a Ph.D. in Economic Geology from the University of British Columbia (1964). From 1962-1964 he taught in the Dept. of Geology, University of Washington, Seattle; and from 1964 to 1998 taught at the University of British Columbia.

The course is aimed at geologists, mining engineers, surveyors, geostatisticians and any other professionals dealing with the estimation of resources/reserves in a mining context.
