Introduction to Hydrometallurgy

COURSE DETAILS

Summary

The course covers the general principles of solution chemistry, engineering aspects, and detailed systematic studies of different leaching processes. This is then followed by methods of solution purification/concentration, and finally methods of recovery from leach solution. Emphasis is laid on chemical reactions, equipment used, and flowsheets.

Fathi Habashi is Professor Emeritus, Department of Mining, Metallurgical, and Materials Engineering, Laval University, Quebec City, Canada. Each participant will have a copy of the above book for further study at leisure. For details of topics covered see course schedule.


Pre-Course e-Learning

Prior to the course, registered delegates have access to online e-learning material consisting of two introductory courses titled Hydrometallurgy 1 - Introduction to Leaching, and Hydrometallurgy 2 - Leaching Processes.
