Casa de Pedra Mine is located near the city of Congonhas, Minas Gerais-MG. This mine accounts for all CSN iron ore supply, produces granulates, sinter feed and pellet feed with high iron content and great physical properties. The mineral reserves at Casa de Pedra Mine are incredibly vast, with a high purity content (up to 68%), and it is rated as a world class mine.
Arcos mine, located on Bocaina Quarry, in Arcos, Minas Gerais, supplies CSN’s flux (limestone and dolomite), which is transported to Volta Redonda via the Centro Atlântica Railroad. It is one of the largest limestone reserves in the world.
