Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional is a listed public company, with shares traded on the Săo Paulo and New York (NYSE) stock exchanges, CSN is one of the largest and most competitive integrated steel companies in Latin America. With an annual production capacity of 5.8 million tons and around eight thousand employees, CSN is focused on steel production, mining and infrastructure.

Casa de Pedra Mine is located near the city of Congonhas, Minas Gerais-MG. This mine accounts for all CSN iron ore supply, produces granulates, sinter feed and pellet feed with high iron content and great physical properties. The mineral reserves at Casa de Pedra Mine are incredibly vast, with a high purity content (up to 68%), and it is rated as a world class mine.

Arcos mine, located on Bocaina Quarry, in Arcos, Minas Gerais, supplies CSN’s flux (limestone and dolomite), which is transported to Volta Redonda via the Centro Atlântica Railroad. It is one of the largest limestone reserves in the world.
